Dogs Eating Raw Meaty Bones
As with the photos of dogs eating raw, this will help familiarize you with how a dog eats raw meaty bones. I have not included ground raw as it looks like a dog eating any type of food out of a bowl.
Chicken quarters (thigh and leg), start to finish
Whole chicken, minus a leg and thigh shared with his border collie sister above
Duck neck
Some quick snippets of duck head, duck neck, and lamb.
Deer neck
Whole duck, this was found at the grocery store one sale. I was able to find 4-5lb ducks for about $15 a piece, which is a good price for duck. If you are at the grocery store, definitely check for sale meat. It is typically meat that will be expiring soon.
Deer back... and yes, little dogs can eat big things like this, better to go too big than too small! And yes, an Italian greyhound has got to do what an Italian greyhound has got to do in the cold winter months! (It was about 40 degrees out, still cold for her!)
3 month old puppy eating part of a rabbit, start to finish
whole prey rabbit with fur, sometimes food with fur or feathers needs to be cut open to expose the inner meat to the dog or cat when feeding for the first time or two
Rabbit head, some people have a hard time feeding heads of things or think it is gross. However, it is a totally acceptable food for our dogs. All of my dogs and their friend, Ryu, here absolutely love heads and they typically come much less expensive than other parts.
I will admit, it was a little weird to watch at first! Helpful hint is for rabbit and beaver heads, feed partially frozen as there is a large blood supply in the head and this allows much less of a mess. Poultry heads typically aren't messy whether thawed or frozen.
